How are Solar Panels fixed to my roof? On homes, for standard installations, the brackets used fix to the rafters of your roof which ensures the fabric is free from loadings. However, new developments in solar technology now mean you can also install flush mounted systems that look like part of your roof.
Do I need a south facing roof? No, Solar PV panels work on and all roofs that have light shining on them. Many customers have fitted east/west facing systems and typically generate around 86% of an equivalent south-facing roof. We don't advise installing solar panels on a north facing roof
What happens if it's not sunny? You will simply draw from the grid in the normal way. But remember, it doesn’t have to be sunny to generate electricity solar panels work from the sun's irradiance even when it's cloudy in winter they still generate free electricity.
How will I know what power I'm using? When you switch an electrical appliance on it will naturally use the power from the panels first when they're producing enough during the day. You can check this using your Smartphone app.
How Long do Solar Panels last? We only use MCS accredited panels, all the panels we use have a manufacturer's performance guarantee of 25 years or more.
How long is the Warranty? All of our solar panel systems come with a full 10 year manufacturers warranty.
