Domestic Solar Systems Considerations

Your Roof
Do you have suitable roof space to house the amount of solar panels you need? Our free design service will determine whether you can fit the number of panels required and the type of fixing system.

Planning Permission
Will I need planning permission? You do not usually need planning permission, the installation of solar panels is covered under permitted development rights for domestic properties. There are some exceptions to this if you live in an area of outstanding natural beauty or in a conservation area. In these cases we can assist you to find out whether you will need planning permisison or not.

Paperwork
What paperwork will I need to do? Very little, we take care of all the paperwork involved. We submit G98 applications to the Grid on your behalf to save you the trouble of this sometimes complicated process. We also notify Building Control of your new installation. There is no extra cost for this it forms part of our service.

Electricity Supply
Is your Current electricity supply single phase or 3 phase? This can make a difference on the size of solar panel system you can have. This is something we can advise on with our free survey and design process.

Energy Bills
By knowing what your current annual usage is from your energy bills we can work out what the best size of system is to suit your own requirements.
